Well, you need to look at the upper right pic again, because THAT chicken does indeed have opposable thumbs, and fingers!
What I thought was him holding something was just the straps and underside of the wing.

It does look that way, but Chicken fingers are nonfunctional. They are useless vestiges leftover from when early chicken ancestors evolved from their retarded mutant fishfrog squirrel-cousins.
